Boys 2007 HP Tryouts: January 12th – March 4th:

The HP tryouts continue to grow. After tripling the number of Boys' HP Tryouts from 2004 to 2006, an eleventh tryout has been added this year in the Milwaukee area, associated with the Wisconsin Boys' Festival in early February.

The first Boys HP Tryout, to be held in the St. Louis area, will be held on the Friday night before the Gateway Region Boys' Bid Tournament. The Tryout will be held at the Belleville Family Sportsplex in Belleville, IL.

The Boys' Tryout season will go through the Orlando tryout, to be held on March 4th.

2007 HP Summer Programs (with emphasis on Boys):

For summer HP programs, most exciting is the fact that both 2007 Mens Junior, Womens Junior, Boys Youth, and Girls Youth National Teams are ALL qualified to attend 2007 World Championships this coming year.

The 2007 Mens Junior Worlds will be held in Morocco, July 7th – 16th.

The 2007 Boys Youth Worlds will be held in Mexico, August 15th – 26th.

Athletes in the National-level program of the 2007 Boys USA Select Age group and athletes in the A2 program of the 2007 Youth Age group train together for five days and then compete in Boys US HP Championships in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; at the same time as the Girls US HP Championships (July 16th – 26th).

We will be running a Boys and Girls USA Select A2 Camp at the USA Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs this summer. That camp will be held in the latter part of July.

Athletes in the USA Select Age group are also eligible to attend one of our USA Development Camps this year ( Long Beach, CA, Fairfax, VA, and Quincy, IL for Boys and up to seven sites for girls).

Whichever age group your were in during 2006, you will be in the exact same age group in 2007. These age groups are the same as last year, because our HP age definitions go in two-year cycles, following international guidelines.

Boys born in 1989 or 1990
Girls born in 1990 or 1991

Junior
Men born in 1987 or 1988
Women born in 1988 or 1989
