Board
of Director's Responsibilities
President:
The President shall preside at all meetings of the Board and membership meetings. The President shall perform the usual and customary duties that are incident to the Office of President of a not-for-profit corporation. The President will appoint and dissolve committees based on the needs of WEVA, Inc. The President will represent the Association as deemed necessary by the Board and in concert with the Commissioner. The President will appoint members to fill Board position vacancies until the next Association election.

Vice
President:
The Vice President shall chair all meetings of the Board in
the absence of the Commissioner, and perform all the duties
of the Commissioner in the event of the incapacitation, death
or resignation of the Commissioner. The Vice-President shall
perform such additional duties that may, from time to time,
be assigned to him or her by the Commissioner.

Treasurer:
The Treasurer shall have charge of and be responsible for
all the funds of WEVA, and receive monies due and payable
to WEVA from any source; and deposit all such monies in the
name of WEVA in such accounts as shall be selected by the
Board. The Treasurer may also sign checks for WEVA, and shall
keep books of accounts. In general, the Treasurer shall perform
such additional duties as, from time to time, assigned to
him or her by the Commissioner.

Secretary:
The Secretary shall keep the minutes of the membership meetings
and meetings of the Board. He or she shall see that all notices
of meetings are duly issued, and do everything that is usual
and customary in connection with the function of a Secretary
of a corporation. In general, the Secretary shall perform
such additional duties as may, from time to time, be assigned
to him or her by the Commissioner.

Officials:
USA Volleyball official who was certified for the preceding
24 months prior to election and represents the officials of
WEVA at Regional and National meetings.

Junior
Coordinator:
Coordinate Junior matters within the Board of Directors. Lead
the Junior Committee which contains the Boys East and West
and Girls East and West representatives.

Boys
East and West:
Actively involved with USA Volleyball Boys Junior programs
and represents the junior players of WEVA at Regional and
National meetings.

Girls
East and West:
Actively involved with USA Volleyball Girls Junior programs
and represents the junior players of WEVA at Regional and
National meetings.

Leisure:
Actively involved with USA Volleyball Leisure and outdoor
volleyball programs.

Male
Player:
Active male player on a USA Volleyball team, who represents
the players of WEVA at Regional and National meetings.

Female
Player:
Active female player on a USA Volleyball team, who represents
the players of WEVA at Regional and National meetings.

Area
Representatives:
From both of the two geographical areas of the region defined
below:
Eastern Area: Alleghany, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Seneca,
Steuben, Wayne, and Yates counties.
Western Area: Cattaraugas, Chataugua, Erie, Genesee, Niagara,
Orleans, and Wyoming counties.

Large Representatives:
Two additional members will be selected from the membership
at large.
