The Western Empire Volleyball Association (WEVA) is one of 40 member organizations of USA Volleyball (USAV). These member organizations are called Regional Volleyball Associations (RVAs). WEVA is a not-for-profit organization, serving fifteen counties in the western New York State area. The purpose of WEVA is to develop and promote the sport of volleyball through adult, junior, and youth programs at a local, regional, and national level.

The primary representative of the WEVA is the Commissioner. The Commissioner is responsible for the day-to-day function of WEVA and is elected by the WEVA Board of Directors (BOD). The WEVA BOD is responsible for guiding the Commissioner and assists the Commissioner in completing all the tasks necessary for the region to run efficiently. The WEVA BOD is elected by the membership that is 18 years or older at the time of the election.
