How do I request a Background Check after the registration process?
You can now submit a background screening after the membership application has been submitted. To do so, you'll need to log into your account and there should be an indicator on the left menu for "Submit Background Application". Once you complete this process, the information will be added to your record and the background screening will have a status of "unpaid".

Next, send an e-mail message to John Hughes and notify him that you added a background screening to your membership. He will either modify the record to include the screening fee to your Membership or he will manually change the status to "pending" once he receives your payment and form.

Can players have their names on the back of their jerseys during tournament play?
Although this is not covered by the rule book or casebook, the answer is yes, if names on back of shirts are considered identical. A good safety measure is that if one plyer has his/her name, then all players should have their name.

What is the policy on Canadian players and teams playing in WEVA events?
USA Volleyball has had several recent inquiries from Canadian age class players and coaches about registering and competing in the US. These inquiries have been of two types:
1. Individual Canadian players inquiring about registering with American teams during or after completion of their Canadian season (i.e registering with both a Canadian and an American team).
2. Canadian teams enquiring about registering with USA Volleyball and playing within the US competitive structure. After discussions with USA Volleyball, we have agreed to the following arrangement which in essence is a reconfirmation of already existing regulations. Volleyball Canada does not support dual registration for Canadian players. Regulation 3.3.1 of the Volleyball Canada Registration Handbook states that: "...No individual may be registered with more than one region or with more than one National Federation (as recognized by the FIVB) or with more than one club or team at any given time, within the same season." Further more, regulation 2.2.3.2 states: "...the individual must be a resident of the region in which he or she wishes to register." Therefore Volleyball Canada will only endorse the registration of Canadian players with USA Volleyball teams with USA Volleyball's prior approval and upon consultation with the player's region of residence, as is our practice with domestic cross-border issues. Furthermore, Volleyball Canada and USA Volleyball both agree that teams comprised of individuals solely from one country should be registered in their country of origin. Both Volleyball Canada and USA Volleyball agree that cross-border competition is desirable. However, players and teams should support their country's programs as much as possible. Therefore Canadian teams are welcome to compete in US competitions (and vice versa) except those competitions which are exclusive to participants registered in the region (i.e. regional playdowns).
